Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using FreeConvert. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Last updated September 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or utilizing any of the services or tools provided on FreeConvert (https://freeconvert.uk), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use this website.
2. Description of Service
FreeConvert provides free, client-side digital file conversion, compression, and manipulation utilities. All file conversions are executed locally within the user’s web browser via WebAssembly, JavaScript, and HTML5 APIs. FreeConvert does not operate remote conversion servers or retain copies of user files.
3. Permitted Use & User Responsibilities
You agree to use FreeConvert only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree that:
- You own or possess the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to convert, modify, and process any files you introduce into the service.
- You will not use FreeConvert to process materials that infringe upon any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, overload, or inject malicious scripts into our website infrastructure.
- You will not use automated scrapers, bots, or excessive automated requests that impair site performance for other users.
4. User File Ownership & Intellectual Property
You retain full and complete ownership, copyright, and title to all files, media, and documents you process using FreeConvert. Because conversions occur strictly on your local device, FreeConvert does not obtain, store, inspect, or license any rights to your files.
All website brand assets, logos, design systems, illustrations, and codebase (excluding open-source third-party libraries) are the exclusive intellectual property of FreeConvert and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
FreeConvert is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation.
Because conversion fidelity depends on your browser version, available system memory, hardware acceleration, and input file integrity, we do not warrant that all conversions will be successful, uninterrupted, or loss-free. We strongly recommend maintaining original backups of all files prior to conversion.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FreeConvert, its operators, maintainers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, system downtime, or device malfunction arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the service.
